Hello everyone! In today’s geography lesson, we’re learning about climate zones of the Earth and how they affect different regions. Let’s look at three main climate zones.
First, the tropical zone. This area is near the equator and is hot and wet most of the year. It supports rainforests and a wide variety of plants and animals.
Second, the temperate zone. These regions have moderate temperatures with four distinct seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter. Many countries with large populations are found here.
Third, the polar zone. These areas are very cold, with ice and snow for most of the year. Vegetation is limited, and only specially adapted animals can survive.
These climate zones are influenced by how close a place is to the equator and how much sunlight it receives. That’s all for today’s lesson—see you next class!
