Pottery Class Invitation

Hi, I’m Emma, one of the pottery teachers at Claybrook Studio. Join us for a beginner-friendly class and try making your first bowl on the pottery wheel—no experience needed.

During the two-hour session, we’ll start by kneading the clay, then guide you through centering it on the wheel, opening the middle, and shaping the sides into a small bowl. You’ll smooth the rim and choose a glaze color, giving your piece a finish that feels like your own.

Once you’ve shaped your bowl, we’ll handle the drying, any final trimming, glazing, and kiln firing. Your fee covers the clay, tools, and finishing of one piece, with collection available about three weeks later. Classes are limited to eight adults, so your teacher can offer individual help as you work.

To join us, choose a Saturday session from 2 to 4 p.m. at Claybrook Studio, 48 Maple Street, Asheville. The class is $65 per person; book and pay through the studio’s Instagram profile using the Book Now button. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on, and arrive ten minutes early to settle in.

Choose your Saturday and reserve your wheel through Book Now. We look forward to welcoming you to Claybrook Studio.
