Hello, everyone. This briefing covers how Telestar employees can spot phishing, verify suspicious requests, and respond quickly.
Start by checking the sender’s email address carefully. Even a single changed letter can be a sign of a fake domain. Then look at the message itself for warning signs such as unexpected attachments, urgent payment requests, pressure to keep something confidential, or unfamiliar login pages that ask you to bypass normal procedures.
Before opening a link, hover over it and compare the destination with the official domain. If the request involves money or credentials, pause and verify it through a known phone number or internal chat. Never rely on contact information provided inside the suspicious message, because it may lead back to the attacker.
If you click a suspicious link, disconnect from the network first to limit further activity. Next, call the Security Desk at extension 7-7-1-1 and change your password from a trusted device. Finally, use the Phishing Alert button so the team can investigate and block related messages.
Keep these checks in mind whenever you receive an unexpected or unusual message. A few extra seconds of caution can help keep both you and Telestar secure. Thank you.
