Hello everyone! I’m Michael Carter, Safety Manager at Skyline Grand Hotel. Today, we’ll review the key steps to follow during a hotel evacuation to help keep everyone safe.
The first step is responding to the emergency alert. When an alarm sounds or an evacuation order is issued, staff must remain calm and immediately guide guests to the nearest marked emergency exit. Elevators should not be used unless authorized by emergency responders.
The second step is assisting guests safely. As guests evacuate, provide clear instructions and assist anyone who may need extra help, including elderly guests, children, and individuals with disabilities. Calm communication is essential throughout the process.
The third step is crisis response coordination. Department supervisors should conduct area checks, report any concerns, and account for employees and guests at the designated assembly point. Front desk staff should bring guest occupancy records if emergency personnel require them.
By following these procedures and working together, we can ensure a safe and organized response during any emergency. Thank you for your attention and commitment to safety.
