Welcome everyone! Today, we’re diving into three simple, fun science experiments you can try at home or in the classroom.
Experiment 1: The Lava Lamp.
You’ll need a clear bottle, oil, food coloring, vinegar and baking soda. Fill the bottle with baking soda and oil, add a few drops of color to vinegar. Then drop the vinegar and watch colorful bubbles rise and fall. This happens because the carbon dioxide from the vinegar and baking soda pushes the colored water upward.
Experiment 2: Magic Milk.
Pour milk into a shallow plate, add drops of food coloring, then touch the center with a finger or cotton swab dipped in dish soap. Instantly, the colors swirl! The soap breaks down fat molecules in the milk, causing the colors to move dramatically.
Experiment 3: Balloon Baking Soda Rocket.
Take a bottle, add vinegar, and baking soda. Fix the balloon over the bottle’s mouth. The reaction releases gas and inflates the balloon.
These simple experiments spark curiosity, teach real science concepts, and make learning truly hands-on. Try them out and discover the magic of everyday science!
