Hello parents! We want to share some simple but important bus safety tips to keep your kids safe on their way to and from school.

First, please remind your child to arrive early at the bus stop and stand well back from the curb. It’s important they wait calmly and don’t push or run — safety starts before they even get on the bus.

When the bus arrives, your child should use the handrail getting on and find their seat quickly. If there are seatbelts, they should buckle up and stay seated the whole ride. Quiet voices help the driver concentrate and keep everyone safe.

At the end of the ride, kids should step away from the bus right away and never walk behind it. If they need to cross the street, remind them to wait for the driver’s signal and look both ways carefully.

Thanks for helping us keep every bus ride safe. Together, we can make sure your child gets to school—and back home—safely every day.
