Video Resume

Hi everyone! I’m really happy to be here today and to have the chance to introduce myself.
So, a little bit about me—my name’s Maya Elridge. I’m a UX designer who’s full of energy, creativity, and always thinking globally. Because of my multicultural background, I love creating digital experiences that feel intuitive, inclusive, and human-centered.
I did my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Amsterdam—which was such an inspiring experience. I also spent a semester in South Korea at Seoul National University as part of a UX exchange program. That’s where I really got into mobile-first design cultures.
As for my skills, I do a lot of UX research and wireframing. I use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch on a daily basis. I’m also pretty comfortable building interactive prototypes with HTML and CSS. I really enjoy working in agile teams where everyone shares ideas and collaborates closely.
People often describe me as empathetic, detail-oriented, and someone who works well with others. I truly believe that great design starts with deeply understanding the people you’re designing for.
At Nexa Booking, where I interned, I got the chance to redesign their mobile booking experience for older users. It was all about simplifying the journey and making the interface more accessible. We saw a 17% boost in task success—so that was super rewarding!
Later, I joined Globex Digital remotely as a junior UX designer. One of the highlights was redesigning a donation platform for a nonprofit. After our work, user retention went up by 23%, and the whole donation process just felt easier and more intuitive.
My biggest strengths? I’d say empathy, being able to turn user data into smart design choices, and staying organized—especially in fast-paced teams.
Oh, and I’m Google certified in UX Design, plus I took some great courses on data visualization too.
Outside of work, I really enjoy street photography and traveling. I find that watching people interact with the world around them actually gives me a lot of inspiration for design.
Thanks so much for listening! If you'd like to connect or chat more, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you.
