Hi, I’m Alex from Trailhaven. Let’s set up your Meadow 4 tent, starting with a quick equipment check. You should have the inner tent, rainfly, two main poles, stakes, and guy lines. Lay everything out so you can find each piece as we go.
Start by choosing a level spot away from areas where rainwater might collect. Check for damaged branches overhead and clear away sharp stones and sticks. Spread out the inner tent with the door facing away from the wind, and tuck any exposed groundsheet edges underneath to prevent water buildup.
Next, unfold both poles and make sure all sections are connected. Push each pole through its diagonal sleeve, then insert the ends into the matching corner eyelets to form an arch. Repeat with the second pole and attach the remaining clips. If a pole feels too tight, check for loose joints or snagged fabric.
With the tent standing, place the rainfly over it, aligning the openings. Secure the tabs and corner buckles, then close the doors before staking down the corners and vestibule. Tighten the guy lines using separate stakes, keeping the rainfly away from the inner tent, and open the vents for airflow.
Before moving your gear inside, check that the poles are fully joined, the stakes are firm, and the doors open without strain. Give the guy lines one final adjustment, and enjoy your stay in your Meadow 4.
