Teacher's Day Event

Hello everyone, I’m David Thompson, principal at Riverside Academy. I’m excited to share that our annual Teacher’s Day celebration is coming up on Friday, October 5.

We’ve planned a full day to show our appreciation. The morning will begin with breakfast in the staff lounge, including homemade treats from parents, coffee, and pastries. Throughout the day, students will also deliver thank-you cards and small gifts, and every teacher will receive a personalized note from the student council.

Our main celebration begins at 2:00 PM during the afternoon assembly. The student choir will perform, we’ll present the Teacher of the Year award, and recognize staff celebrating 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Former students will also share stories about teachers who made a difference in their lives.

Students, parents, and staff are all welcome to join. If you’d like to help with setup or bring something for breakfast, please sign up at the front office. Teachers will also receive raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes donated by local community partners.

Our teachers give so much to our school every day. Let’s come together on October 5 to celebrate them and make the day truly memorable.
