Assignment Notice

Hi everyone. This is Daniel Smith, your Mathematics teacher for Grade 8. I have a quick but important homework update for you.

I have posted your assignment from Chapter 5 Linear Equations on the portal. It covers the methods we practiced in class today.

There are three questions. Question one, solve 3x plus 7 equals 22. Question two, find the value of y if 2y minus 5 equals 13. Question three is a word problem, a number doubled and increased by 4 is 18. Find the number.

Please write neatly and show every step of your working. Marks are given for the process, so explain how you get to the answer.

Your deadline is Friday at 11:59 PM. Upload a single clear PDF or photo through the portal. Remember, late work loses 10 percent per day under our class policy.
